CLEARANCE ITEM. PREVIOUS RETAIL PRICE WAS $19.95 AVAILABLE ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! If you have built Stephen Chastain's furnaces, you know that melting a large amount of metal is easy. Properly preparing enough sand for the molds to hold all of that metal can be a real chore. Now Chastain has built a professional-grade foundry sand muller to take the work out of making molding sand.

This is NOT A TOY but a REAL MULLER that has enough torque to fold up a section of 3/8-inch steel plate. Now you can easily prepare your molding sand fast enough to keep up with your largest furnace. This plan is scalable up or down to make a small core sand muller or a 42-inch muller from a 500-gallon tank.

Organic No-Till Farming offers a map to an organic farming system that limits tillage, reduces labor, and improves soil structure. Based on the latest research by pioneering agriculturists, this book offers new technologies and tools based on sound biological principles, making it possible to reduce and even eliminate tillage. Field-tested over many seasons, these methods make cover crops into a source of fertility as well as a tool for weed management. As traditional tillage turns into rotational tillage, natural soil biology is maximized and synthetic inputs are minimized. For organic farmers who want to refine their practices and conventional farmers interested in new ideas, Organic No-Till Farming is indispensable.

Originally published by Popular Mechanics in 1941, this classic manual is a testament to the ingenuity and dedication of American craftsmen. The collected projects, written by various craftsmen, demonstrate how to build a 10-inch thickness planer, a “swing saw” (or cut-off saw), and a hand-built hydraulic press, in addition to drill presses, jigsaws, sanders, bending brakes, band saws, a wood lathe, and many other useful machines. All of these machines are built with simple and highly available materials, and every project is accompanied by the original instructions, illustrations, and measured drawings. In addition, this vintage reprint offers its readers a unique look into a period in American history—when materials and labor were stretched thin, and American craftsmen were forced to “bootstrap” solutions out of the bare essentials available to them.
