Need a special gift for a dog-loving friend? Mix a batch of these for her coddled canine and a batch of any of maple-infused cookies, place some in a basket with a jar of maple syrup, and you’ll present her with the sweetest dog-owner gift ever.

Yields 20-24 3-inch dog bones

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons Maple Peanut Butter
  • 1 1/4 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix all ingredients together well. Once it’s nice and crumbly, simply work the dough with your hands to get a nice consistency.
  3. Roll dough out, press with an embossing rolling pin (if you like), cut into shapes, and bake for 20-40 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of treats, as well as how soft or hard your dog likes them. Ones that are baked hard will last for several months in a sealed container. Soft ones should probably be refrigerated if your pooch doesn’t eat them all in a few days!
