  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 quart salsa
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar


  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add beef in batches, and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and transfer to a slow cooker.
