Readers share the types of careers they wanted when they were youngsters.
One Capper's Farmer reader always dreamed of being a schoolteacher.
When you were a child, did you ever say, “When I grow up, I want to be an astronaut”? Maybe you wanted to be a scientist or a pilot or a nurse. When asked about career choices, kids usually have a pretty good idea of what they want to be. While childhood dreams often change with age and circumstances, sometimes life’s path takes folks down the road to their original plan, and their career choice is realized.
We asked our readers what they dreamed of growing up to become, and what they actually ended up doing with their lives. Here are a couple of the responses we received. It seems Capper’s Farmer folks know what they want, and they go for it and make it a reality.
We want to know how you celebrate Easter – now and when you were a child. How have your celebrations changed from when you were a child to how you celebrate with your children, and possibly with your grandchildren now? Have you carried on the same traditions your parents and/or grandparents started? Have you added new ones? What are they?
Send us your Easter celebration stories, with a photograph or two (jpeg, at least 300 dpi) if available, and we’ll publish a couple of our favorites in a future issue.
Email your stories and photographs to email@example.com or send them via the U.S. Postal Service to:
