Crystal grew up in northeast Iowa and then attended Iowa State University. She graduated with a Forestry degree, with an Interpretation emphasis. She lives with her high school sweetheart, Zach, in central Arkansas, and works for the U.S. Forest Service as a silviculture forester. Her hobbies include: fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, reading, writing, traveling, and attending live concerts.
