For the seventh consecutive year, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer guests a free short stack of its famous buttermilk pancakes February 28, 2012, in honor of National Pancake Day. In return, diners will be asked to leave a voluntary donation for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Since its inception in 2006, IHOP’s National Pancake Day has raised nearly $8 million and given away more than 14 million pancakes to support charities in the communities in which each restaurant operates. Last year, IHOP restaurants served some 4 million free pancakes, and pancake lovers donated more than $2.5 million, exceeding the goal of $2.3 million.

IHOP’s goal this year is to raise $2.7 million, which would bring the total amount of funds raised to more than $10 million. To find an IHOP in your area, visit www.ihoppancakeday.com.
