I spotted this dish at a thrift store. My original plan was to put it in the bathroom to hold cotton balls, but the color just didn’t match my décor — so I painted it. This dish had a marbled pattern, but a solid stone dish would work just as well.
Directions:
Wipe down the dish with a clean rag and alcohol, and let it dry.
With a craft paint brush, paint the dish, and let it dry for at least two hours. Add a second coat if desired. I wanted to be able to see the marble pattern, so I didn’t add a second coat.
If you want a shiny finish, add a layer of wax, and let it dry completely before buffing the dish with a clean, lint-free cloth.
I used FolkArt® Home Decor Chalk Paint 34924 Seaside Villa.
