A wall plaque for the kitchen is a terrific gift for those who love to cook and spend time in the kitchen.
Use canvas or a thin board for your base. Choose kitchen- or cooking-themed scrapbook paper, then find a few embellishments to match. For a rustic country feel, add some chicken wire or a strip of burlap.
Move your paper and embellishments around until you see a layout you like. Keep in mind you’ll be adding a saying, so be sure to leave a spot for that. Once you’re happy with the design, glue everything down. If you’re using burlap or chicken wire, you can wrap it around the sides and staple it to the back.
Add your saying using stickers, die-cuts or rub-ons, and then staple rope to the back for hanging, if desired.
