Norma “Duffy” Lyon uses butter to create works of art. The folk artist, who lives on a farm near Toledo, Iowa, has sculpted likenesses of President Eisenhower, Elvis Presley and country singer Garth Brooks using the dairy product. But her subjects are not limited to portraits of people. She has also created scenes from paintings and other sources of inspiration, and her life-size cow sculptures have earned her the nickname of ‘The Butter Cow Lady.’

Visitors to Lyon’s Web site can get a glimpse of her artwork and can watch a short video of Lyon and assistants putting together one of her buttery creations. The site is located at www.thebuttercowlady.com.
