- 5-2/3 cups water
- 1-1/3 cups white syrup
- 3-1/4 cups sugar
- Pears, peeled, cut in half lengthwise, seeded and stemmed
- In a stockpot, bring water, syrup and sugar to boiling.
- Meanwhile, pack pears into hot, sterilized jars.
