Preserved pears are easy to make with just a few ingredients and your fresh pear harvest.

  • 5-2/3 cups water
  • 1-1/3 cups white syrup
  • 3-1/4 cups sugar
  • Pears, peeled, cut in half lengthwise, seeded and stemmed


  • In a stockpot, bring water, syrup and sugar to boiling.
  • Meanwhile, pack pears into hot, sterilized jars.
