Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 pound lean ground beef, cooked, optional
- 1⁄4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
- 1 bottle (12 ounces) mesquite barbecue sauce
- 1 can (31 ounces) pork and beans
- Red bell pepper strips, optional
Directions
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion, and cook until partially tender, but not bron. Add beef, if using. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
