Grandpa Bill lost his house and all its contents in a house fire in January 1925. The only item that was saved was a hall tree. This unique item is tall, with a mirror down the center. There are two coat hooks on each side of the mirror. The neat thing about it is a little bench at the bottom, which is just right for little people to sit. Now there are two more little people to continue to enjoy this spot – a great-great-grandson and a great-great-great-great grandson. Even I, as a young bride, enjoyed the bench seat. One time, Grandpa Bill said, “Some day you can have this.” This family heirloom now has a special spot in my home, and some day it will go to my son.
