Keeping a Master Mix Cookie Dough on hand is a time saving and money saving way to always be prepared to have a delicious cookie on hand ready to eat. The cookie jar never needs to be empty and unexpected guest can always have a fresh warm cookie ready and waiting for them to enjoy.

Master Mix Cookie Dough Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 cups shortening

Directions:

  1. Combine the first five ingredients.
  2. Cut shortening in with a pastry cutter until dough resembles crumbles.

Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 10 weeks. Makes approximately 15 cups.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups master mix cookie dough
  • 3 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine the first four ingredients.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
  4. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups master mix cookie dough
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oatmeal

Directions:

  1. Combine the first four ingredients.
  2. Add in oatmeal, mixing well.
  3. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  4. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups master mix cookie dough
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Directions:

  • Combine the first four ingredients.
  • Add in peanut butter and mix well.
  • Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Flatten with a fork.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
