- 1⁄4 cup butter, softened
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
- In the bowl of a stand mixer (or in a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer), mix together butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Beat in powdered sugar. Add vanilla, and mix to combine.
- Spread over cooled cakes, cupcakes, or cinnamon rolls.NOTE: If frosting is too thick, add a little milk or half-and-half. If it’s too thin, add a little more powdered sugar.
