Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1-1⁄4 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1⁄2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Place oatmeal in a bowl and cover with milk.
  • Stir and allow oats to soak in milk for about five minutes.
  • Stir in eggs and oil and then mix in flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cook pancakes on heated, oiled griddle. Serve with fresh applesauce or sliced bananas.
