Swedish Almond Toast Recipe
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sour cream
1 cup finely chopped almonds
2 teaspoons ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon salt
Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour, baking powder, sour cream, almonds, cardamom and salt. Mix well.
Spread in an ungreased jellyroll pan. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes, until brown.
Cool in the pan. When cool, cut into small squares. Place squares on a cookie sheet and bake at 200°F for about 1 1/2 hours until crisp.
