Easy Chili Mac Recipe
1 roll (1 pound) original recipe sausage
1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup diced green pepper
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder, or to taste
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 bunch green onions, chopped, optional
In large saucepan over medium heat, cook sausage, onion and green pepper, breaking up and crumbling with fork, until sausage is browned and onion and green pepper are tender.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, water, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir in macaroni. Cover and simmer for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until macaroni is tender.
Serve in individual bowls topped with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions, if desired. Easy Chili Mac Recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
