Waldorf Salad Recipe

This tasty fruit salad combines celery, grapes, apples, walnuts, and raisins in a sweet and creamy mayonnaise dressing, and is perfect for a potluck.

Yields 6 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup grapes, whole or halved
  • 2 apples, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and sugar, and mix thoroughly. Set aside.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, gently toss together celery, grapes, apples, walnuts, and raisins until thoroughly combined.
  3. Pour mayonnaise mixture over salad ingredients, and stir gently to combine.
  4. Serve immediately. Store leftovers in a tightly covered bowl in refrigerator.
