Everyone loves a cheesy Shepherd’s Pie, and now it’s even easier to make using prepackaged mashed potatoes, which means no boiling, no peeling and no mashing.

Skillet Shepherd’s Pie
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots and corn)
1 cup beef gravy
1 package (24 ounces) prepared mashed potatoes
1/4 pound (4 ounces) pasteurized prepared cheese product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
Heat oven to 375°F.
In heavy medium ovenproof skillet, brown ground beef until no longer pink. Drain. Return meat to skillet.
Stir in frozen vegetables and gravy.
In mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes and cheese. Carefully spread over meat mixture in skillet.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until heated through and lightly browned. Skillet Shepherd’s Pie yields 4 servings.
