Maple Cream Sandwich Cookies Recipe

Forget the store-bought cookies with all of the bad stuff and make your own sandwich cookies at home.

Yield: 15 to 20 cookies

These little cookies can be filled with ice cream or a delicious maple filling.


  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2-1/4 cups flour
  • 1-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine sugar, butter and egg. Add milk, maple syrup and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets or ungreased parchment paper. Bake for approximately 12 minutes.
  4. 'Paste' 2 cookies together with filling or make 'sandwiches' by placing ice cream slices between 2 cookies, and then keeping them in the freezer until serving time. 

To make filling:

Mix together:
  • 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
